Asthma Treatment

Normally, when we breathe, air goes through our nose and down into throat, into our airways, eventually making it to lungs. There are lots of small air passages in our lungs that help deliver oxygen from the air into your bloodstream. Asthma symptoms occur when the lining of airways swell causing tightness of the muscles around them. Mucus then fills the airways, further reducing the amount of air that can pass through.

Asthma is an inflammatory disease of the airways to the lungs. It makes breathing difficult and can make some physical activities difficult or even impossible. For some people, asthma is a minor nuisance. For others, Asthma can become major problem interfering with daily activities and sometimes may lead to a life-threatening asthma attack.
